Saturday Skid Row Service w/ UCLA

Saturday, October 22nd

Midterms are tuff and time consuming so take some time to gain a greater perspective with us and help the poor of Downtown LA, Skid Row.

This event involves preparing bag lunches for the poor along side the UCLA SVdP conference at their UCLA Catholic Center and from there proceeding to Sixth and Gladys Park to hand the meals out. Total time with travel, cooking, packaging, and distributing takes about 3 hours. However, if you would like to stick around and maybe play some chess with us at the park or have some lunch that would be cool.

We will meet in parking lot 7 at 7:15am and take off by 7:30am to UCLA

Restorative Justice Mass, November 6th

Please join us in attending Holy Mass with the incarcerated youth of LA Central Juvenile Hall. This opportunity is to become a minister of God's great love for all peoples and to proclaim Christ through your presence.

Activities for the day include:
Holy Mass
Faith Sharing with the youth
Coffee and Donuts

Vincentian Family Day 2011

Please join us for a grand celebration!! Vincentian Family Day brings together all fraternities, societies, and orders of the Vincentian family into one place. Cardinal Manning Center Dinner

Saturday, October 29th
4:30pm - 7:30pm

Please join us in serving dinner to the residents of the Cardinal Manning Center (CMC) on October 29th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The Society's CMC provides opportunities to dozens of men, women, and children to find shelter throughout the year while they locate more permanent living situations. This dinner is meant to be an opportunity to serve Christ through the person of the less fortunate and gives our members a greater awareness of poverty within our own area.

Activities include:
Decorating
Cooking
Cleaning
Serving

Dinner will be promptly served at 6pm.

STM Youth Mass + Confirmation Classes

Youth Mass at Saint Thomas More Church in Alhambra 
Every Saturday evening at 5pm, beginning October 8th. 

Beginning October 8th we will be assisting at Saint Thomas More Church in Alhambra for Confirmaion instruction. Mass will be followed by some light refreshments and and a short gathering, then for those who are seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Catholic Church, or those looking to learn more about the Catholic faith, there will be having formal instruction on how to prepare for the "laying on of hands."
