SVdP Meeting Week 8: February 28, 2013

Fundraiser:  SVdP's  Shakey's Night 
 April 5, Friday @ 5-8pm
  • Larry make announcement for bulletin
  • Jenn make copies of flyers to advertise on campus (first week of Spring Q.)
  • Hold off Helping the Homeless: TB outbreak (CDC says be cautions): wait for the OKAY - Board games, play chess, and bring a gift , talk
  • Jenn / Isabel: Reserve Rooms  & tabling for Spring Quarter

Ideas:
  • Retreat @ Circle V Ranch Camp for members and potential members.
  • Members look for local homeless people in your own area and interested in helping them out.

        • Evaluation: Made over 200 Hygiene Kits/bags.  PH Student Association wants to collaborate again with hygiene kits/bags or feeding the homeless.

CSULA: SVdP Week 6 Club Meeting

Hey Vincentians!
It's Week 6. I hope your midterms and exams are going well.
Just a quick reminder that this WEDNESDAY is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent, a reminder of our mortality (often stated as, 'we are dust and to dust we shall return'). Catholics are encouraged to attend Mass on Ash Wednesday, however, Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation.
Hygiene Kits made on Saturday was a SUCCESS,
donations were given and we gave over 200 bags to the homeless at
Downtown LA Skidrow.Thank you to the Public Health Student Association for collaborating and helping out.
