SVdP Planning Retreat, Dec. 14th-16th

Get away with us this Advent Season and retreat into the beautiful wilderness counrty of Santa Barbara, CA.

The retreat will be held at the SVdP Circle V Ranch near the Santa Inez Mountains, which is where the Society sends dozens of disadvantaged kids each year to have a summer camp experience. Activities will include a nature hike, time for spiritual reflection, planning events for the next school term, and gathering around the camp fire to sing songs and share stories.

The retreat is FREE to all those who attend and lodging accomodations will be provided. The only expense retreatants will be expected to provide is food.

We will be leaving Cal State LA, Parking Lot 7 by 9am Wednesday morning and be back at Cal State LA by 12pm Friday afternoon. 
Carpooling will be available to those who do not have a ride

Restorative Justice Christmas Party

Please join us in celebrating the birth of our Lord with the incarcerated youth of LA Central Juvenile Hall. This is an opportunity to become a minister of God's great mercy to those most in need of it. Please give the gift of your presence to these wonderful human beings by joining us in this festive event.

Activities will include: Handing Out Gifts, Singing Christmas Songs, and Enjoying Live Entertainment

Cardinal Manning Center Dinner, New Years Eve

New Years Eve

4:30pm - 7:30pm

Please join us in serving dinner to the residents of the Cardinal Manning Center (CMC) on New Years Eve, December 31st, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The Society's CMC provides housing year round to dozens of men, women, and children while they locate more permanent living situations. This dinner is meant to be an opportunity to serve Christ through the person of the less fortunate and gives our members a greater awareness of poverty within our own area.

Activities include: Decorating, Cooking, Cleaning, and Serving

Dinner will be promptly served at 6pm.

Sunday Breakfast Fundraiser

New Sunday Breakfast Fundraiser!

Please come and enjoy a delicious breakfast this Sunday, November 27th, at Saint Thomas More Church in Alhambra (2510 S. Fremont Ave, Alhambra, CA 91803) from 8am to 2pm.

This is the first installment of a new fundraiser that will take place every fourth Sunday of the month beginning this Sunday, November 27th.

We will be serving buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, plus hot champurrado. And, Donuts and Pan Dulce fresh from the bakery!
